Corporate Events (Fundraising) Director - Los Angeles

Finally, a job you can feel good about!  The American Heart Association, the nation's largest non-profit health organization dedicated to the fight against heart disease and stroke currently has an excellent job opportunity in our Los Angeles office.  Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Corporate Events (Fundraising) Director will be responsible for implementing the American Heart Walk fundraising events in Los Angeles, with an individual goal of raising $300000. This fundraising position oversees recruiting, managing and mobilizing corporate fundraising walk teams, as well as securing corporate cash sponsors in order to ensure fundraising goals are achieved.  The Corporate Events Director will also help oversee proper implementation of the logistics of this exciting event, which is held annualy.

 

Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience.  2-3 yrs significant fundraising or successful sales experience, demonstrated knowledge of fundraising & proven success in recruitment, partnership-building & negotiation skills.  Excellent customer service, written & oral communications skills are also a must.
