Development Assistant, Database

St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California, part of the St. Joseph Health System, has an immediate opening for a Development Assistant, Database at their Memorial Foundation.

 

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Donor Development Database Specialist, provide support for the database and stewardship functions. 

 

Essential Functions:

1.  Responsible for gift batching, acknowledgment letters, coding, and managing records as required.  Act as a liaison between gift entry and development coordinators.  Gifts will be processed within 72 hours of receipt in the Foundation.

2.  Responsible for weekly and monthly donor gift reports for the Foundation Controller, Foundation Development Staff, and the Foundation Board of Directors and others as needed.

3.  Responsible for maintaining/updating deceased constituents through daily obituaries and monthly Meditech reports.

4.  Assist with Raiser?s Edge database maintenance.

5.  Assist prospect management staff on database projects when needed.

 

Minimum Position Qualifications:

? Education:  High School graduate

? Experience:  2 or more years office or administrative experience

? Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel and Access.

? Relational database skills.

 

Preferred Position Qualifications:

? 2-3 years of successful experience working in a development office

? BA/BS degree in computer science or information technology from an accredited college or university preferred

? Working knowledge of computer networks, interfacing of computer systems, and technology for remote access or Raiser?s Edge 7
