Residential Group Home Manager
Olive Crest has immediate openings for Residential Managers in our Orange County Group Homes. This full time position is responsible to provide case management services to program residents in conjuction with the Clinician. Supervise direct child care staff. In coordination with Clinician and treatment team, follow through on resident treatment plans. Complete residential administrative duties.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Implement and supervise effective program of care as devised by treatment team and directed by Clinician and Program Director. Develop professional working relationship with both professional and direct child care staff.
2. Develop supportive relationship with residents on caseload, completing case management responsibilities as assigned by Clinician, including ensuring the needs of the clients are being met.
3. In coordination with Clinician, placement worker recommendations and the case plan, review for the purpose of approval or denial client community passes and temporary releases.
4. Maintain accurate records and reports on a daily basis. Review facility logs and complete regular administrative paperwork.
5. Maintain frequent and consistent contact with representatives of referring agencies.
6. Monitor all contact with family members. Provide information about such to Clinician.
7. Serve as liaison between program and community resources.
8. Instruct, counsel, train and support child care workers in dealing with resident behaviors.
9. Interview, hire and train direct care staff.
10. Supervise and manage direct care staff (performance evaluations, etc.). Ensure that direct care staff are implementing individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate records of staff performance.
11. Ensure compliance with Title 22 standards and regulations.
12. Complete residential responsibilities including: monthly staff schedule, unit supplies shopping, budget, areas of concentration, QA, etc.
13. Carry a pager in order to coordinate and be responsible for emergency coverage within program, overtime as required. In coordination with Program Supervisor, keep facility appropriately staffed at all times.
14. Ensure that staff adhere to agency policies and procedures.
15. Interview, hire and train direct care staff.
16. Monitor staff in-service, treatment team, and support group meeting attendance.
17. In coordination with Clinician, Intake Coordinator, and Treatment Coordinator, arrange for the screening, pre-placement and intake of new clients, as well as assisting in the transition of discharged clients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BA/BS in human services or related field preferred.
2. Experience with SED population.
3. Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record as determined by Olive Crest's insurance carrier.
4. Record clearance free of criminal convictions.
5. First aid/CPR certification.
6. Ability to speak and write English and prepare complete, concise and clear reports.
7. Ability to perform housekeeping duties.
8. Ability to intervene during crisis situations with minors up to 18 years of age.
9. Adequate vision and hearing to be able to supervise clients properly.
10. Ability to remain awake, aware and alert during working hours and work independently.
