Training & Volunteer Coordinator

Education/Experience Required: Minimum of a Bachelors Degree required, preferably in a Social Services related field.  At least one year experience in volunteer coordination and at least one year of experience in training coordination, preferably in a healthcare setting.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must be detail oriented and have excellent organization skills.  Outstanding customer service skills, along with the ability to work well and communicate effectively with members of the community and Jefferson Center consumers and staff is critical.  Requires a high level of initiative, enthusiasm, and ability to work independently.

 

Duties: This person will serve as both Volunteer Coordinator and Training Coordinator.  This position will provide oversight of the entire volunteer program including recruiting, training, and the supervision of staff.  Must feel comfortable speaking in front of large groups as well as attending a variety of public events.

 

As Training Coordinator, this position will be responsible for an extensive training program that will serve the needs of both clinical and administrative staff while satisfying state requirements.  Coordinates an effective training program by working with a variety of internal and external resources to recruit expert trainers while maintaining the program budget.  Conducts new staff orientation.
