About the Opportunity:

Whiteline Express, Ltd. is a privately owned transportation company and subsidiary of Plastipak Packaging, Inc. a worldwide leader in the plastic packaging industry. We are looking for a Regional Manager to oversee the day to day operations of our McCalla, AL facility. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of this well-established organization.?

The ideal candidate will thoroughly understand the concept of pro active strategies to drive down cost while improving operational performance. The candidate will have full accountability of the region insuring all operational demands are met. The candidate will bring expertise in driving process improvement, metric results, and leadership in managing both drivers and operational personnel.

What We Are Looking For:

Build relationships with customers; know and understand each customer?s distinct needs. Be pro active, communicate and track critical customer concerns. Execute strong problem-solving and follow-up skills with a keen attention to detail.

Knowledge of truckload operations with a commitment to task. Analyze industry trends, benchmark load rates, and scrutinize revenue per lane to optimize business operations.

Tie operational improvements to operating income gains. Develop and analyze Price and Cost Models to implement process improvement opportunities.

Manage changing operational demands, freight variability and seasonal surges. Adapt to new processes and new systems in a growing and changing environment.

Manage Personnel. Positively influence actions and opinions of others. Use sound judgment in leading others to objectives. Be versatile, able to modify personal style. Engage others to work as a team to insure operational demands are met.

Key Knowledge and Experience:

Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS).

Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio

Innovative (ICC) Software and Queries, SAP, People Net - GPS, experience preferred

Positive attitude, high energy and a customer oriented mindset.

Knowledge of DOT regulations, with an emphasis on the HOS statue

Professional oral and written communication skills.
