Job Description:

The Service Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the overall delivery of quality service by mechanics, and service associates.  Their primary task is to ensure that workers, equipment, and materials are used properly to maximize productivity and that all safety requirements are met.  Key responsibilities include making sure machinery is set up correctly, scheduling or performing repairs and maintenance, conducting employee performance reviews and coaching and counseling as needed, and new staff training.  You will also inform employees about company plans and procedures and ensure that they are adhered to. Additionally, the Service Manager will meet regularly with branch managers to address problems and discuss possible solutions.

 

Requirements:

This position requires at least 5 years of maintenance supervision, as well as excellent people and leadership skills.  Qualified individuals should also be able to maximize fleet availability, ensure maximum shop productivity, possess knowledge of manufacturer?s warranties and be able to lead and supervise service technicians.  You must also generate incremental service revenues. All candidates will need to be able to lift equipment weighing up to 25 pounds and must also be PC proficient, particularly with all Microsoft applications.
