We like the Co-op two-year discount

This is based on a discount of 1.5% from one of the lowest standard variable rates (SVR) available - currently 4.84%.

With a pay rate of 3.34%, loan-to-value (LTV) of up to 95%, daily interest calculation and NO penalties for early redemption, this is an excellent product.

The borrower is not tied to the lender and would be free to shop around for a fixed rate if they felt that rates were going to rise significantly.

In addition, the Co-operative Bank operates a socially responsible and ecologically friendly policy which benefits the environment - another advantage for "green" borrowers.
