We like the three-year fixed Bank of Ireland rate for those requiring the security of known mortgage payments.

Three-year fixed rates have fallen considerably over the past couple of weeks. Offers are now at a similar level to the leading two-year fixed rates. It seems unlikely that three-year fixed rates can fall much lower.

This 3.65% Bank of Ireland rate is available for purchase and remortgage and has a fee of £299. Interest is charged on a monthly basis and the lender has a reputation for excellent service. However, there is a catch in the form of a 5% redemption penalty.
