Project Leader - Information Systems

The Information Systems division of Edward Jones currently has an opening for a Project Leader.

Responsibilities:
-Manage tasks, scope, and requirements to meet agreed-upon schedules.
-Devise and maintain workable project plans to accomplish the business needs that each project was undertaken to address.
-Plan and lead projects to ensure project cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met by monitoring and measuring progress, taking corrective action, and escalating issues when necessary.
-Responsible for all system deliverables, adherence to methodology, cost and risk management, and reporting.
-Coordinate project activities across multiple Information Systems and functional areas.
-Manage multiple project teams, as required.
-Align project activities with the firm's strategic direction.
-Coordinate associates and other firm resources to carry out project plans and achieve defined milestones.
-Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across project stakeholders, business areas, and vendors.
-Lead by example, demonstrating firm values.

Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience in information systems.
-Five or more years of experience in information systems.
-One or more years experience in a project leadership role.
-Detailed understanding of project management methodologies, system development lifecycle, infrastructure best practices and risk management concepts.
-Diverse project management tool experience.
-Knowledge of business system interactions, infrastructure dependencies, etc.
-Systems development methodology experience and processes within information systems Change management, QA, etc.

-Strong ability to learn and apply new/emerging technologies.
-Basic knowledge of financial services industry.
-Excellent relationship-management skills with all organizational levels.
