Project Manager

Overall responsibility:

 Drive business solutions that provide tangible, bottom line results.Maintain a multiple cross-functional projects that generally last between 1-9 months.Manage list of proposed projects and coordinate their priorities and documentation with the steering committee.Provide improvement recommendations concerning changes in business process, and internal department processes related to each project. Will work closely with Product managers, Steering Committee and operational teams to effectively roll out business-specific initiatives.

 

Key areas of responsibility: 

 Responsible for end-to-end initiatives management, demonstrating ownership throughout the course of the project.Use good judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish goals.Develop and manage project plans, work with partners to understand and resolve problems, and escalate issues as necessary to meet project time lines. Ensure initial project scope and business requirements are accurately documented to meet business needs.Perform Risk Analysis of project before and during major milestones of the project.  Analyze resource utilization and work with operational teams on staffing plans. Works with DesertDocs project management process and continually improves project management skills.Interacts with several levels of management and negotiates on behalf of the project team and the business.Creates and delivers updates on project goals.

 

Skills and attributes

Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and leadership experience under tight release schedules.  Working knowledge of project management methodologies and the ability to take direction and work independently.

Experience required

Requires a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
