Project Manager

Description: Grade 57 The E.ON Project Manager oversees all aspects of coaxial cable construction and engineering for an upgrade project. They will develop and ensure the quality of the Engineering, Permitting and Construction of plant during the project, monitor actual to budgeted expenditures and adjust as needed to stay within parameters, interact with municipalities to ensure permitting process does not delay project time lines.

Ensures construction projects are complete on time and budget.
Provides direction and training to the team members as it relates to their positions and demonstrated growth potential tailored to specific job functions and growth opportunity.
Financial responsibility for all in-house and contract labor. Ensures that product is provided timely and within all budgeted guidelines. Tracks monthly expenses and capital spending as it reflects the department.
Accountabilities are to monitor, coordinate and report specific details of individual project construction activity and timelines to allow many internal departments to prioritize and coordinate their efforts to achieve on time activation the Cox Phoenix system.
Provide direction, support and information that can assist Construction, Design, Network Operations, Engineering, IS&R, FP&A, NBD, NIMS, Can-We-Serve, Transport, MTC, Senior Team, Field Operations, Field Sales, BSW, CBS, and Government & Community relations
To oversee, manage, and communicate details on project permits (as assigned) from conception through Design, Engineering, and Utility/Municipality approval creating a smooth and successful flow for projects from Engineering to Construction.
To negotiate and build relationships with internal and external customers (such as municipalities, developers and utilities) to ensure projects meet assigned time to construct goals.
Manages the operating functions of construction, permitting and engineering for the E.O.N. project.
Contributes to Network Operations strategic plan.
Develops and implements tactical plans including priorities and processes.
Integrates the professional and technical disciplines within the construction and engineering arenas.
Manages capital and operating funds within budget.
Manages affiliate services to ensure construction commitments, timing and partnerships are effectively met and nurtured.
Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL
Education:
College degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
Min. 2 years project management or like experience.
Experience managing budgets and development of methods and procedures.
5 years experience managing cross-functional team in a network environment.
5 years management experience including capital and operating budgets.
5 years experience in telecommunication operations
Must have extensive knowledge of excel and other project tracking tools.
Experience managing contractual resources.

QUALIFICATIONS - DESIRED
Experience:
10 years experience within an MSO showing progressive management responsibilities including, but not limited to network construction, engineering and operations
