Roles and Responsibilities

 

Must be a visionary who can lead and oversee a Program Management Office with multiple high risk, high impact Programs at the division level.


Lead and drive a culture of team performance that fosters what is right and best for the overall business growth of Freescale. Provide a common PMO vision, and clear direction. Initiates challenging goals and strategies and win team buy in.

 

Plan activities and map out realistic objectives and tactics, and set priorities.

 

Anticipates problems and deals with them proactively.

 

Sets high standards and achieves results.

 

Provides sponsorship for corporate and project-level initiatives.

 

Develops short and long range plans which are appropriately comprehensive, realistic and effective in meeting goals.

 

Assists with the development and implementation of product strategies and business plans.

 

Inspires confidence with their technical semiconductor and systems aptitude for learning, experience, knowledge, and awareness. Anticipates and recognizes technical semiconductor complexity to enable project success.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

 



Possess project planning skills and the ability to train other PM's and project leaders to develop an integrated project plans encompassing all elements of the project tasks or WBS. Challenges the status-quo.

 

Strong leadership and influence skills. Exceptional abilities to communicate crisp, clear overarching vision.

 

Ability to provide systems level perspective and influence for end to end solutions. Positively influences and motivates others to establish clear, concise and common objectives, and is able to create a sense of urgency within the team.

 

Is able to entrust others to establish procedures and plans that support team objectives and utilizes these to structure win-win relationships. Ability to manage apathy and resistance.

Experience: 10-15 years PM/Business/Technical experience; Successfully lead multiple programs and projects.

 

Specific experience in leadership, business disciplines, project management disciplines, and strong technical aptitude. Exceptional leadership, influence, communication, and team development experience and skills. Strong background in successful leadership and influence disciplines and training. Have a proven track record.

Education: Prefer Masters level education or equivalent. Project manager certified Black belt training or equivalent.
