ART/DESIGN MANAGER

Overseeing the Art & Design Department, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of the Museum's 2D and 3D visual communications. You will hire, manage, direct and motivate a staff of graphic designers, photographers, exhibit designers, and artists; interface with freelance artists and vendors; collaborate with Museum divisions/departments on visual communication needs; and develop and maintain department budget.

Requirements include 3+ years of graphic design experience with a professional portfolio of demonstrated creative work; 3+ years' demonstrated success in a managerial role; Mac-literate with superior technical proficiency in Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, PageMaker and QuarkXpress; strong leadership, organizational and communication skills; high degree of attention to detail; and a B.A./BFA in Graphic Design or the equivalent.
