PRIMEDIA Performance Automotive Group is a collection of America's most popular enthusiast magazines. Our publications include Car Craft, Hot Rod, Popular Hot Rodding, and Motor Trend. PRIMEDIA is currently seeking an Associate Editor for Car Craft magazine, located in Los Angeles, California.

Job summary:

-Research and write a range of articles including technical, how-to, feature, and event coverage

-Create new story ideas on a monthly basis

-Proofread copy from other staff members and contributors to ensure technical accuracy

-Participate in aftermarket product evaluations, installations, and track testing

-Cultivate and maintain working relationships with aftermarket companies and enthusiasts

 Qualifications:

-Candidates should possess strong writing, editing, and grammatical skills, preferably with college experience.

-Candidates should possess a high level of drag-racing and road-course driving skills and understand the basic dynamics of four-wheeled vehicles.

-Candidates should have extensive knowledge of engine and drivetrain technology and trends in the automotive aftermarket.

-Strong photography skills and hands-on mechanical skills required.
