Commercial Print Project Manager
The person in this position will provide Commercial Print Support to the sales rep and customer to increase the overall volume of our sales. Process RFQ inquiries. Select appropriate vendors and negotiate pricing based on sales/customer RFQ specifications for subcontracted opportunities. Obtain a minimum of three competitive bids for each new item. Create Sales Quotation. Determine product and service needs and ensure that exact specifications are met.
Project manage estimates and orders to provide status to sales/customer. Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery. Expedite goods and services.
Act in a consultative capacity concerning commercial print and related products and services. Offer alternatives that will drive savings when appropriate.
Negotiate settlement of complaint reports generated by Sales Rep or customer.
Manage relationships with Sales, customer, and suppliers.
Qualifications
-2+ years direct purchasing experience and/or estimating experience in the commercial print industry.
-Previous experience and a through understanding of the forms, paper, and commercial print industries and related business.
-Computer skills - ability to assimilate and use computer based information
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Ability to work on projects of diverse scope
-Ability to research new trends in purchasing techniques
-Ability to research new trends in manufacturing techniques
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent organizational skills
-Excellent analytical skills
-Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
-Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through
-Ability to work well under pressure
-Typing/computer skills - 40wpm
-Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
