Digital Press and PrePress Operator - 2nd Shift

Scantron Corporation has an exciting opportunity to join our Graphics Department as a Digital Press & PrePress Operator!  This position is repsonsible for operating color and black and white digital equipment, database workflow mangement, graphics alterations, prepress and routine maintenance.  The position requires knowledge in Mac, PC, and Unix system.  Ability to work within tight deadlines, punctuality, and a team player attitude are a must!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:


? Use of variety of graphic design applications

? Work with multiple project at the same time

? Print jobs according to the production schedule

? Quality check every job before and after printing

? Proof and prepare plates from image setter

? Interact with internal and external customers

? Perform additional responsibilities as required

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

? A.A. Degree or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred 

? Minimum two years experience in the Graphics, Prepress and/or Digital Printing production

? Knowledge in database management, Microsoft Access, Excel and mail shop

? Excellent organizational skills

? Excellent time management skills

? PC and Mac experience, some knowledge of Unix system.

? Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision.

 ? Ability to handled multiple tasks simultaneously.
