Distribution Analyst

PRIMEDIA?s Enthusiast Media segment produces over 120 magazine titles and has market leading positions in the Automotive, Outdoor, Action Sports, Crafts, History, Marine, Equine and Home Technology categories. We are currently seeking a results-oriented Distribution Analyst to join our Single Copy Sales team in Los Angeles, CA.

Skills Required:
The individual must be highly organized, analytical and capable of multi-tasking with an affinity for accuracy and details. He/she must also posses the ability to work under pressure and deliver on deadline. Candidate must be proficient with computer programs including Excel and Word and demonstrate a desire to learn a variety of wholesaler and national distributor systems.

Key Responsibilities:
-Complete galley reviews/closes and print order summaries insuring accurate and efficient allocations of copies at a distributor/wholesaler level
-Manage print orders to budgeted levels and be prepared to explain any variances.
-Coordinate all follow-up with National, Foreign, Direct and Specialty distributors on galley review and allocation questions.
-Work closely with Director Single Copy Sales and Senior Category Manager to understand and implement title specific efficiency and expansion initiatives. Report any large variances in allotments discussion and decision-making.
Insure proper fulfillment of promotion draw needs, and subsequent scale back allotments.
-Coordinate with PRM field team the necessary changes that come as a result of field level activity, including confirmation of effective issues.
-Perform semi annual dealer-level reviews of Anderson and News Group business to make sure all unproductive dealers are removed and institute make-orders to improve efficiency in viable dealers.
-Interface closely with Circulation Planning to insure accuracy of communication and information that is included on PO summaries.

Education, Experience, Skills required:
-College degree with a minimum of 2 years of business experience.
-Strong excel skills.
-Proven organization skills.
-Strong analytical capabilities as well as communication skills.
-Ability to manage a mixed work load and achieve deadlines.
