File Processor – Direct Mail

Towne AllPoints Communications is a leader in the direct response communications industry providing companies with direct response communication solutions. With over 50 years of direct mail experience, Towne is one of the oldest lettershops in the country.

 

Towne has an immediate opening for a  File Processor at its facility in Santa Ana, California.  If you have experience as a file processor in the direct mail industry and are proficient in use of First Logic and Fox Pro softwares, and seek a full time job in a pleasant but busy work environment, this job may be for you.  Additional knowledge of Printstream a plus but not required.

 

Job Summary

Responsible for performing daily data processing of jobs as outlined on work orders and specified due dates. Works with customer data in preparation of files for print and production.  Satisfies customer requirements with regards to due date  in a fast-paced environment. 

 

DutiesProcesses daily data processing jobs.Primarily utilizes the First Logic set of software programs such as ACE, Merge/Purge, presort, when processing jobsKeeps the Supervisor abreast of any file processing issues, which may delay a project or requires excessive hours to executeClarifies job requirements with the SupervisorClarifies execution problems with the Sr. Data Processing Production Programmer.Understands general USPS requirements for mail, for instance complete addresses.Updates the First Logic programs at the direction of the Dept. Supervisor.Performs Database file analysis and creates reports at the direction of the Sr. Data Processing Production Programmer.Assists the Sr. Data Processing Production Programmer in creating dbase processes to process client jobs and to ensure accurate performance.

 

 



Qualifications and Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent1 to 3 years data programming experienceComputer literacy on Windows 98/NT or above, Outlook, Excel, Word programs, MS-DOS and dbaseKnowledgeable in using First Logic programs or equivalent applicationMaintains an organized work areaExcellent verbal and written communication skills; detail orientedAbility to multi-task and see projects through to completionAbility to learn new programs and applications that Towne may utilize in the futureType at least 45 WPM
