Job Description

 

We seek an experienced medical writer to join our Publishing team and help us develop a new line of medical publications for distance education students.  Under minimal supervision, you will plan publications, write and edit manuscripts, and supervise authors and editors in creating materials covering medical coding, billing, transcription, terminology and more.

 

Required Experience


Candidate must have at least 3 years of medical writing or editing experience and be a self starter with a proven record of completing writing projects on schedule and within budget.  Experience working in a medical office or hospital and publishing management is a plus. 

 

Required Skills

 

Outstanding writing abilities are essential, as are excellent people and project management skills.  We also require strong:

 Organizational abilities and attention to detail  Editing and proofreading skills Multi-tasking abilities Computer skills (MS Word and Excel; familiar with InDesign, Internet)

After 90 days of employment, full benefits include:

Compensation

 

$70,000/yr depending on experience.  Local resident only.
