Print Services Manager

Spherion, in partner with Epson America has an immediate opening for a Print Services Manager to manage the low volume production of a Pilot Program conducting Photo Print Servies.

The ideal candidate would have Pre-Press Digitial and Color Managment Work Flow experience.  Experience in the Printing Industry using Wide Format Printers, or experience working in a printing operation would be a plus.

The Pilot Program will run approxatmatly 4 months or longer,  on a contrat staffing arrangment through Spherion.

 

Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of commercial printing experience in a digital environment,  including familiarity with pre-press, printing and finishing operations. Knowledge of applications such as QuarkXPress, InDesign, Photoshop, and knowledge of inkjet printing via a variety of RIPS, and imposition technology. Color Management skills are also desirable. Bookbinding experience a plus.  Must have a strong drive to get jobs done right the first.

Job Description:

Manager responsible for producing photo books on a trial basis.  The production process involves downloading files from a web site, preparing the files for printing using a printer RIP, printing the images, cutting them using a mechanized cutting machine, and binding the pages into a book.During this period, the manager may also be asked to print other items on a test or trial basis.
