Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to the Materials Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of customer and supplier facing functions to support customer flexibility requirements, while achieving plant goals & targets with regards to costs, liability & inventory.

 

Key success factors will be:

- Customer satisfaction, supply chain efficiency and responsiveness achieved through efficient and effective use of resources, processes and systems.

- Oversee the implementation of the inventory management strategies to ensure continuity of supply to the customer base.

- Monitor supplier performance in areas of responsiveness and flexibility

- Developing and managing operational performance indices in line with key performance metrics.

- Drive process Improvements to ensure that the plant is meeting or exceeding defined targets.

- Achieve best in class performance in all areas of service, cost and quality.

- Monitoring and reporting on inventory levels & liabilities within the Supply Chain

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

- Strong leadership and management skills

- The ability to work cross-functionally and influence, deploy and manage strategic initiatives.

- A proven track record of successful project introductions that have met cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

- Ability to manage diverse groups

- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to influence in a continuous Improvement focused environment.

- Experience with working with OEM I third party suppliers and be available to travel internationally at short notice.

 

Candidates will have:

- A third level qualification, with a strong emphasis on materials supply and management.

- 5 to 10 years experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

- Planning, Negotiation and Supplier/Customer Relations Management skills essential.
