Underwriter Manager

underwriter manager for our busy Banking office.  In this important
position, you'll be responsible for the approval or denial of all
mortgages for our banking office.


Responsibilities:

* Manage and build a strong underwriting team to increase
productivity as well as managing your own work load.
* Review all mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy
and completeness
* Review all questionable situations and make judgment calls.
* Work to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of all
mortgage and loan materials
* Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis
* Performs quality control function for the team to ensure the
quality and accuracy of each loan for your team.
* Provide areas of training for your team to better their careers
helping the business in its growing business.


Requirements:

* 5 + Years experience as a mortgage underwriter
* Maintain a high level of product knowledge
* Prefer  2 + years manager experience in a high pace mortgage
environment
* Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail
* Undergraduate or better degree preferred
* FHA/VA knowledge a plus.
* DE/LAPP Approved a Plus
