Market Research and Development Coordinator

SUMMARY: Research individual states pertaining specifically to their unique early education programs, curriculum, and pre-school initiatives in order to gather, organize, and present sound data that can be utilized by the company for the sake of specific strategies as it pertains to Web & Catalog Marketing, Product Development, Merchandising, Circulation, Content, as well as the Internal & Outside Sales Departments.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor?s degree (B.A/S.) in a marketing or research related field; plus as least 1-3 years experience in marketing or a research related field.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

 

? Research federal, state, and local educational websites

? Subscribe to and research periodicals from within and outside of the educational marketplace.

? Research other websites, including state, federal, research institutes and educational organizations. Utilize internal information, data, and reports along with subscribing to e-mail alerts from various resources.

? Make outbound calls, e-mail, and write to experts in various organizations, federal, state, and local educational departments fore the purpose of gathering information as it pertains to specific programs within a particular state.

? Interpret and write reports for the purpose of presenting updates to management on a regular basis to aid in the determination of future company strategy.

? Maintain and update the information on an ongoing basis due to the ongoing changes within each state.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

? Must be well organized, a self-starter, and possess excellent telephone communication skills.

? Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

? Must be able to multitask and prioritize in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.

? Must be even-tempered and team spirited - a good sense of humor is desirable.

? Must be computer literate and have experience with IBM-compatible computers.

? Must have the ability to quickly learn specific software.

? Working knowledge of efficient filing systems, office machines and equipment.

? Must be able to adjust tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.

? Must be able to make sound independent decisions based on available data.

? Must be able to work with a variety of personalities in an effective manner.

In depth knowledge of  Microsoft Office 2000, and Windows 2000.
