Marketing Research Project Manager

This role requires an experienced marketing research professional with the ability to manage a range of research projects from start to finish. The person in this position is expected to serve as a center of competence in research design and analysis on a team of researchers and may be called upon to lead and oversee aspects of the work of colleagues and/or vendors. In this role, the associate would be expected to work with various teams to identify research needs, develop project plans and implement research projects. This associate will also be expected to manage relationships with outside research providers, including identifying, assessing and selecting best-in-class research firms.

Qualifications
-Five or more years experience in marketing research, with the proven ability to manage the survey research lifecycle, from writing questionnaires to managing fieldwork to analyzing results to presenting findings to senior management.
-Interpersonal skills are critical, and the candidate should also demonstrate the ability to communicate research results to senior management and collaborate in the cross-functional follow-up needed to make them actionable.
-Extensive training in statistics and quantitative survey research methodology, with experience conducting, evaluating, leading, troubleshooting and reporting on a range of research studies using standard quantitative and qualitative techniques is required.
-Proven skills with quantitative analytical techniques, including multiple regression analysis, factor and cluster analysis are also necessary.
-Some qualitative research skills, especially related to supporting and enhancing survey research projects are desirable. For example, the candidate should be able to conduct in-depth interviews to gather qualitative research insights.
-The ideal candidate should have strong analytic skills, good communication and project management skills and be able to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Highly desirable but not required:
-Expertise using SPSS
-Data-mining, database development and maintenance skills
-An advanced degree in the social sciences, statistics or business
-Knowledge of financial services or the mutual funds business
-Experience marketing to and through intermediaries also beneficial
