Product Development Lab Technician

Henkel Technologies is a leading, broad-based, global manufacturer of specialty materials for the electronics industry. Henkel produces epoxy molding compounds, coating powders, high performance liquid encapsulants, solder paste, adhesives and die attach products for the protection, packaging and assembly of semiconductor, electronic and electrical components.

 

Located in Irvine, CA, the electronics group of Henkel is currently seeking multiple individuals to join our Product Development team as a Laboratory Technicians or Associate Chemists (position dependent on education and experience) to assist our Chemists in the development, manufacture, and testing of new products.

DUTIES OF POSITION:

 

?  Plan and set up for laboratory experiments

?  Prepare test specimens using standard laboratory tools and machinery

?  Conduct experimental work

?  Demonstrate initiative and takes charge of routine tasks

?  Record and organize data for analysis and effectively communicate results to chemists and supervisors

?  Adhere to safe work habits and all safety policies and procedures

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

?  Minimum two years college-level chemistry and equivalent laboratory experience required

?  B.S. preferred ? Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science preferred

?  Experience with basic tool manipulation including mixing equipment, lab glassware, testing machines, and other standard lab tools

?  Previous laboratory experience in a business setting desired

?  Excellent computer skills to manipulate and graph data and report experimental work

?  Ability to work in a team environment and work on multiple projects

?  Good communication and interpersonal skills

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

?  Ability to sit for long periods of time and regularly work on a computer keyboard

?  Ability to work in a chemical lab environment and with lab equipment
