Synthetic/Organic Chemical Researcher

NITTO DENKO TECHNICAL CORPORATION (www.ndtcorp.com), a subsidiary research center of NITTO DENKO Group (www.nitto.com), has two immediate openings for highly motivated and creative scientists to join Nano-Division at our location in San Diego North County, CA.

 

POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The ideal candidate should have a recent Ph.D degree in synthetic organic chemistry or material chemistry, must demonstrate strong skills in multi-step organic synthesis, and a thorough knowledge of modern chromatographic and analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, GC, GPC and MS, etc.).  Previous experience in polymer synthesis and characterization is a plus.  Research will include design and synthesis of novel organic compounds or polymers for LED display or novel nanomaterial applications.  Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently as well as within a multidiscipline team are required.  The position is initially for one year and with the potential of renewal for another year.

 

 

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The ideal candidate should have a MS degree or a BS degree with two years experience in synthetic organic chemistry, polymer chemistry or polymer materials.  Strong background and skills in organic synthesis, separation, GC, HPLC, FT/IR and NMR are desirable.  Previous experience in carbon nanotube (CNT) modification and characterization is a plus.
