Job Description 

 

 Coordinator for the 3-5 year training program [fellowship] for gastroenterologists. There is one physician program director for all the affiliated hospitals. The program coordinator independently coordinates and directs the activities of the Program. The main duties include: 1. Develop and oversee rotations of fellows amongst the 5 affiliated hospitals, 2. Primary contact person for problem solving liaison with Fellows. 3. Annual evaluation of applications for the program; maintain up to date web site information, respond to applications; schedule interviews with faculty. 4.. Define budget allocations and maintain Program expense accounts. 5. Develop in consultation with the Program Director, the teaching conference schedules; know what the curriculum requirements are, coverage of necessary topics. 6. Ensure that required evaluations of fellows and faculty are completed, timely, and communicated to the program director. 7. Maintain personnel and educational records according to defined national standards. 8. Track conference attendance records.

 

Salary 3536-$6374/month

 

Job Qualifications:

 

 Preferred: Previous experience coordinating Fellowship Program[s]. Preferred: Working knowledge of ACGME requirements for postgraduate education .

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to independently make relevant decisions for personnel policy, program education, applicant recruitment and selection. Touch typing at least 50 wpm. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in database management, of existing databases. Organize and present data in spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated PC proficiency in a Windows environment using Word, Excel, Outlook Email. Ability to use help menus for commonly used programs. Ability to coordinate large meetings with multiple attendees and to finalize details in advance of program meetings and educational seminars.
