The ideal candidate will have 6 years of Pastry experience with at least 2 years in a leadership position at either a similar sized resort or at a 5 star or 5 diamond property.

The Pastry Chef will oversee our nine outlets including Mary Elaine’s our 5 Diamond award winning restaurant and supervisor 16 cooks. They will report directly to the Executive Pastry Chef.


 


The Pastry Chef will be responsible for:

Supervise and coordinate the production of desserts, confections, ice creams and pastries for nine F&B outlets and Sunday brunch.
Work with other departments within the resort to provide quality service to our customers
Supervise all pastry staff including hiring, training, coaching & counseling
Schedule appropriate number of cooks to meet daily production requirements while managing payroll and productivity to forecast
Participate as a team player with all departments within the resort
Ensure all food quality controls are met and ensure daily compliance with health department and Starwood food safety audits
Candidate must be proficient with computers and know basic computer programs such as outlook, word & excel.
