ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / Sales – Market Expansion

Smart Business Magazine, a monthly management journal targeting presidents, owners and senior decision makers of middle-market companies, continues to be in growth mode and seeks an Account Executive in the San Francisco, CA area. 

 

This position will be responsible for managing and developing our publication business in the San Francisco market.  Secondary market to be determined.  The Account Executive will prospect and close new business, develop and present advertising recommendations based on customer needs, ensure customer satisfaction, and consistently attain sales goals. 

 

The ideal candidate:

 will be energetic, disciplined, goal-oriented, organized and self-motivated.  must have at least three years outside sales experience ? copier, furniture, payroll systems or other business to business sales experience strongly preferred.  must have a successful track record of exceeding sales goals and meeting quotas for setting qualified appointments with C-level executives (CEO, owner, president, etc.)  will have experience in overcoming objections, maintaining a great work ethic, and not having a fear of phones or rejection is also required.  must have experience in building and maintaining a qualified list of prospects and a base of customers. will have a professional appearance.
