Account Executive 3, Field Sales

Summary:Travels throughout assigned territory to call on existing and prospective new customers to generate business for Gateway. Essential Responsibilities: Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on leads provided by Gateway and from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources. ? Prospect, market, and sell Gateway products, services and solutions. Able to understand and implement the entire selling process from qualifying to closing in the assigned sector. ? Focus on New Customer acquisition by making 12-15 face to face sales calls each week. Prepare and present proposals, quotes and recommend solutions based on customer?s needs and sales of appropriate solutions. ? Prepare and present presentations, proposals, quotes and recommended solutions to the target audience, including all appropriate levels of management, both internally and external to the Gateway organization. ? Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features. ? Achieve revenue and share goals set by Sales Manager. ? Provide regular reports to Sales Manager regarding weekly sales face to face call activity and pipeline opportunities. Itineraries, new prospect list, forecast, and competition analysis are also required. ? Adhere to minimum standards of performance as established by Sales Manager. ? Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts. ? Works with inside sales team Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:      8 + years of field sales and account management experience preferred. State and local government and/or Education segment experience is also preferred.Education/Certification:      BA / BS in Business, Marketing, Economics, Comp Science or equivalent level of experience
