BabyCenter, the world?s #1 pregnancy and parenting site, is seeking an Account Manager to join our team. BabyCenter is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, and the leading online content and e-commerce Company specifically serving the needs of expectant and new parents.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

BabyCenter seeks an Account Manager to join the leading online destination for expectant and new parents.  The Account Manager is responsible for 10-15 BabyCenter advertising and sponsorship client relationships.  At the point of sale, the manager transitions the account from the sales person for a seamless hand-off.  He/she then manages the development of effective Internet marketing/advertising campaigns with other key departments including Creative Services, Ad Operations, and Technical groups.  This process includes advising the client on strategy and best Internet marketing practices. Post launch of campaigns, the position is responsible for tracking, analyzing, reporting and acting upon results with recommendations for optimization. The manager?s insights and client knowledge are key to the renewal process with the Sales Department.  The results of campaigns and the manager?s work directly effect renewal rates.  This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the head of Account Management.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

?Manage day-to-day client relationships of large and mid-size clients

?Strategize and develop client promotions and media campaigns, advising clients on best internet practices and the value BabyCenter can provide

?Lead internal development team (creative services, tech, and ad operations) in creating sponsored content or custom features that meet client?s needs while adding value for BabyCenter users

?Communicate and keep clients informed of all issues related to their campaign and BabyCenter

?Track and analyze campaign results and metrics of success

?Proactively make recommendations to optimize client?s ad performance

?Identify renewal and up-sell opportunities with clients

?Work with third party research partner to conduct, summarize and present consumer research to key clients

?Participate with the sales team in client renewal

?Serve as client and advertising advocate within BabyCenter

?Contribute to overall media business and product planning

 

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

The ideal candidate is energetic, intelligent, organized, detail oriented, and creative. S/he enjoys creating and working in a fast-paced environment, functioning independently, as well as on teams.  The candidate will be a quick learner with a demand for excellence.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

?5+ years work experience including advertising agency account management, internet marketing, or related experience

?Proven client management/partnership experience with mid to senior level clients in fortune 500 companies

?Proven project management experience and skills including Excel and PowerPoint

?Proven experience in working with a sales force

?Background in Internet; html knowledge a plus

?Comfort with DoubleClick/DART/ad serving

?Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfort in presenting in front of a group

?Ability to think strategically while managing details

?Strong interpersonal skills, both working internally as part of a team and working with clients

?Research and analytical expertise a plus

?Media planning experience a plus
