Business development Manager/San Jose

Hagerman & Company, Inc.(HCO), named the 2006 Autodesk Channel Partner of the Year, is a large supplier of software and consulting services in the CAD/CAM market; the company markets its products and services to manufacturing firms, AEC (architects / engineers / constructors) industry, and to the Civil engineering industry. We continue to provide the most expert, up-to-date training and support.

We are looking for an aggressive Business Development Manager for our Mechanical Computer Aided Design (MCAD) business in San Jose, California.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1.Schedule, attend, and manage a minimum of five demos to prospects per week within the designated geographic area. (Note: All demos are performed by HCO applications engineers. The Business Development manager takes responsibility for the customer relationship.
2.  Attendance at work or customer sites between 8:00 and 5:00 daily
3.  Entry of all sales contacts in the Hagerman contacts database on a daily basis
4.  Coordination of efforts with the V.P. ? Sales, Regional Manager, Hagerman?s applications engineers, service technicians, and systems consultants
5.  Maintain positive relationships with associates
6.  Observance of dress policy ? business attire during business hours
 
Hagerman & Company?s organization structure is designed to permit a salesperson to do what he or she should do best ? sell, with few other responsibilities.  A salesperson is NOT responsible for the following:
 
1.  Product demos, other than as an observer and commentator
2.  Technical questions ? these are handled by the applications engineer or systems consultant.
3.  Proposals or pricing ? all proposals are issued by the corporate office; the salesperson must complete only an RFP with accurate specifications and recommendations as to pricing.
4.  Delivery of the order, installation, or problems arising after the sale.  All such concerns are handled by Hagerman?s service manager, service coordinator, applications engineers, or systems consultants.
