The Director of Channel Sales will create and implement sales strategies that deliver new subscriber growth through channel partnerships that currently include: retail, PC manufacturers, affinity, reward programs, call centers, and online partners.

The position will be responsible for setting sales strategy, managing a sales team, and ensuring efficient and compliant sales processes in addition to other management duties. The position must thoroughly understand the ISP market and be able to turn research, trends, and market analysis into compelling presentation content that builds interest and understanding of the industry. The position will also be actively engaged with colleagues in EarthLink Channels Sales to effectively position the overall company's suite of services to channel partners. The Director of Channel Sales will work cross functionally with the sales, marketing, product marketing, and operation teams to ensure deals are properly suited to the business and effectively implemented to generate new subscribers. The position is also responsible for generating sales forecasts and managing direct member acquisition costs. The position will monitor channel opportunities and trends; communicate results, strategic implications and recommendations to senior management as appropriate. This position will have senior manager direct reports and must effectively motivate team members to exceed sales targets.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Five to seven years experience in business to business sales and/or channel sales with a proven track record of exceeding plan

Two to five years experience with Internet access services preferred

Demonstrated success in identifying new channel opportunities

Excellent communication skills including listening, writing, and presenting

Able to interact professionally with C-Level executives

Excellent negotiation skills

Experience with sales forecasting, budgeting, contract reviews and deal analysis

Strategic and analytical thinking skills required

Familiarity with financial statements


REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales and marketing

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Active on-sight sales call visits and heavy travel
