Industrial Products Outside Sales Manager

 

Applied Industrial Technologies, with more than 440 facilities and over 4,400 employee associates across North America, is seeking a motivated, customer focused Account Manager (Outside Sales). We are hiring for the following location:

 

  Colorado Springs, CO.

 

Applied Industrial Technologies offers more than 2 million parts critical to the operations of customers in virtually every industry including food and beverage, petroleum, automotive, pulp & paper, mining, aggregate, and maintenance and repair. In addition, Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial and fluid power applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber and fluid power shop services.

 

As an Account Manager, you will maximize your solid sales skills as you call on both existing customers and prospects. Duties include:

? Engage in extensive customer contact to conduct sales and service activities; develop strong customer relationships; introduce new products, identify product applications, and keep account informed of product developments.

? Prepare quotations and proposals; follow up and negotiate terms; close transactions.

? Utilize promotions, campaigns, and business contacts to seek out prospective accounts; introduce company and product; establish and cultivate a contact; analyze prospect's needs.

? Organize and conduct training sessions for customers; survey market and competitive conditions; complete itineraries, expense, sales calls, leads and other related reports.

? Monitor customer complaints, follow up on outstanding orders, make emergency calls, night calls, and deliveries as required.

 Account Manager Requirements

Equivalent of two years of college preferred with one to three years of sales experience is required.  Knowledge of costing, pricing, sales practices and techniques, and experience with and knowledge of one or more of the following is preferred: bearings, power transmission components, linear technologies, fluid power components and systems, industrial rubber products and related general maintenance and specialty items. Must be able to meet and deal with customers in an effective manner. A valid driver?s license and a satisfactory driving record are essential.
