JOB TITLE: Sales Consultant

DIVISION: Wella-Sebastian Sales Organization

LOCATIONS/TERRITORIES: Marin County, Bay Area


BASIC FUNCTION: This is an experienced sales position that develops and manages The Wella Corporation?s business in an assigned geographic area, through ongoing contact with existing and potential salon accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. To grow the distribution of The Wella Corporation?s products and salon programs by assisting salons in the development of their business.

2. To achieve sales targets as directed by The Wella Corporation.

3. To maintain and develop a sales route that effectively services the salons and grows salon sales.

4. This position is required to seek out and develop new salon accounts by ?Cold Calling? in an assigned territory; at least one day per week or as directed by supervisor.

5. It is the responsibility of this position to maintain and update salon information in accordance with ?Best Practices? requirements.

6. To maximize the salon?s educational opportunities by utilizing all of The Wella Corporation?s offerings; inclusive of studios, educational centers and through effective use of the ?Salon Service?s? guides.

7. Makes best effort to control and report on all ?Diversion? activities in assigned territory.

8. To be present and on time at all sales and educational events, inclusive of sales meeting, in salon programs and company meetings or as directed by supervisor.

9. Conducts in salon promotional events that require evening and weekend participation.

10. Completes all reports in a timely manner.

REQUIRED TRAVEL: 80 % of time is spent on local travel and 20 % out-of-town travel. This may vary by territory and change as the needs of the territory do.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent presentation skills. Excellent organizational abilities. Be proficient at Word and Excel. Have 2 years previous sales experience. Possess a minimum of a high school diploma(college degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
