Strategic Marketing Director - Semiconductor A/V Consumer Electronics
Strategic Marketing or Business Development Director (Consumer Electronics Semiconductors)
ESS Technology, Inc. is a fabless semiconductor company with 500 employees headquartered in Fremont, California. We design and market high-performance digital audio-video processor and imaging sensor semiconductors for the consumer electronics, digital home, and camera-enabled cellular phone markets. We are currently looking for a Product Marketing Manager to support our market expansion strategies:
Location: Fremont, CA
Areas of Responsibility:
o Research the consumer electronics industry and recommend future markets
o Prepare new product definitions and business plans (ICs, software, reference designs)
o Participate in industry forums and standard setting bodies
o Form partnerships with consumer electronic companies worldwide
o Perform technical market research and competitive analysis
o Foster joint development with other companies
o Champion new markets and products within ESS
o Evangelize ESS and its capabilities to outside stake-holders
Required Skills:
o Strategic marketing or business development experience in the semiconductor industry
o Current consumer electronics industry connections
o Proven track record in product definition, development and launch of successful products
o Strong hardware and software background
o Clear understanding of business fundamentals
o Analytical approach to problem-solving
o Proven project management skills, self-directed and results-orientated
o Ability to lead strategic discussions of ESS management team to obtain their support
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o San Francisco Bay based candidates desired
Experience Level:
o MSEE, MSEE with 5+ years of strategic marketing or business development experience in the semiconductor industry
