Team Account Managers Needed for Office Furniture Dealer!

JOB SUMMARY

Act as client advocate and maximize customer satisfaction and profitability of assigned accounts. Position is primarily responsible for the coordination and orchestration of all internal resources and external vendors which may include: client, construction contractors, building management, product manufacturers, freight companies, and internal sales and installation teams.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Shares responsibility for elements relating to the successful sale. Works with other team members to facilitate successful pre/post sales activities. Collaborates on the development of a sales strategy and market plan for all principal target accounts.  Creates and maintains strong relationships with clients, vendors, and referral sources to increase customer satisfaction and generate referral business. Promotes and sells design, installation, project management, and other Pivot Interiors services. Assists in the planning, specification and project management of sales projects on assigned accounts. Plans and prioritizes for effective time utilization. Maintains targeted gross profit on each order. Maintains accurate records of all customers. Promptly submits forecasts and expense records on assigned accounts. Maintains cooperative relations with fellow employees. Develops account profiles including: names, specific locations and territories and divisions of national companies and strategic account plans for primary accounts. Calls on all such accounts regularly. Maintains a current working knowledge of developments in the contract furniture industry and related products, applications, and design concepts. Consistently devotes time to personal and professional development through a variety of continuing education sources and appropriate business and professional associations.

 

GENERAL DUTIES. Responsible for insuring the following duties are completed in accordance with company policy either directly or through other team members.

 Prepares or assists in the creation of proposals. Shares responsibility for reviewing and confirming the accuracy of all final proposals submitted to assigned accounts. Coordinates the quotation of custom products, specials, carton/crate charges, freight, special handling, surcharges, storage, freight & demurrage (penalty for delayed freight), trash disposal, elevator, installation, electrical, data cabling, permits, certifications, and other product or service charges reasonably anticipated in the course of the project. Performs analysis and/or planning (site verification, phasing of product for order entry, etc.) Ensures that all Operations and Technical Services staff understand the work order and included information elements. Responsible for or assists with:  obtaining design contract sign off, conducting programming meetings with clients, obtaining fabric/finish/plan signoff, providing technical review of specifications, requesting labor quotes, applying discounting as needed,  obtaining PO?s and deposits, and preparing order entry packets. Prepares master project schedule, Gantt chart, truck schedule, order status reports or other documents and reports necessary for the successful completion of the project.  Attends weekly team meetings to review status reports of active and upcoming projects.  Attends client project/construction meetings as needed to coordinate furniture installation activities and the activities and requirements of the contractor, client and building management parties. Works with team and project coordinators to ensure that order acknowledgments are accurate and that estimated ship dates correspond to product required dates. Requests and coordinates completion of installation drawings. Facilitates changes or modifications to contracts and / or scope of work and obtains approved change orders as needed. Coordinates and supervises installation resources. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Works with PC?s on the processing of shipment related issues: freight claims, damage, erroneous shipments and shortages. Coordinates client walk-thru, processes punchlist with client & writes up related product and service punchlist orders. Obtains final client acceptance and sign-off upon completion of the installation. Works with Accounting Department to provide prompt and courteous follow-up and investigations of delinquent accounts as necessary.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

? Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, architectural or interior design school.  3 - 5 years related experience and/or training (such as project administration or project management or interior design) may be substituted for some experience or formal education requirements. 

? The employee must provide proof of valid driver?s license, and proof of insurance of an operable vehicle.

? Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.  Ability to read and analyze architectural drawings and blueprints.  Ability to write reports and general business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

? Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.  Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

? Ability to exercise independent discretion with regard to defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
