Account Manager

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a customer base and achieve growth projections in an assigned territory. Primary emphasis for this position is to acquire new commercial, industrial and institutional customers, develop relationships with architects/engineers and contractors while maintaining favorable relationships with specific existing customers. This position will develop and qualify new contracts for projects, make sales presentations; quote and bid projects as well as negotiate contracts for projects.

 

Responsibilities

 Develops and implements a plan to take advantage of all sales opportunities within assigned geographic territory.Has a good understanding of business fundamentals and can articulate technical solutions in business terms to high level buying influences in customers? organizations.Develops and uses an account development plan for each key customer and supports customer?s goals and objectives.Estimates and proposes service agreements and facilities systems upgrades.Utilizes mutually agreed upon goals and objectives as a guide for planning weekly activities.Works within a team to deliver total customer satisfaction.Prepares sales activity and forecasting reports.Conducts scheduled QA visits with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction.Keeps current on company and competitive products.Keeps current on local business market trends.

 

Requirements

 Minimum 3 years experience in sales of DDC/EMS or HVAC controls.Knowledgeable in DDC control theory applications pertaining to the HVAC industry.Experience with Automated Logic product line preferred.Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a plus.Strong communication & presentation skills.Strong ability to solve the financial and business problems for customers by providing high level mechanical solutions in a conceptual manner.Must be able to lift 40 lbs.Posses valid state motor vehicle license and safe driving record as required by company?s insurance provider.
