The Berry Company, a BellSouth Company and official sales agent for BellSouth, YELLOWPAGES.COM is currently seeking ambitious individuals to pursue inside telephone sales careers for their Birmingham AL office. Candidates may be based in the Birmingham area.  Berry, established in 1910, is the largest independent Yellow Pages publishing agent in the US, specializing in the sales and marketing of Yellow Pages advertising through Internet products.  We offer an outstanding training program and performance-driven compensation.

 

Berry?s consultative approach to selling involves working with small, medium, and large established and new accounts to determine advertiser needs, and designing and selling effective advertising programs that will increase their business.  Accounts are handled over the telephone with clients.

 

Job Requirements: Excellent organizational skills, Experience with working knowledge of InternetOral and written communication skillsAbility to balance multiple tasks & meet all deadlinesDependable, excellent attendance

 

Job Responsibilities: Responsible for meeting aggressive sales quotas and objectives. Initiates telephone calls for the purpose of selling Internet advertising. Schedules, organizes and prioritizes work to meet customer and directory deadline scheduling demands promptly, accurately and efficiently. Prepares Internet layouts and background information, as basis for recommending advertising programs and Internet listing arrangements to meet the needs of each business. Constant daily contacts with customers. Work requires a high degree of accuracy.
