Our client specializes in biomedical device connectivity. Its products are used to automate patient vital signs collection from bedside devices (monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, etc.) into the EPR. The company has become the worldwide and US leader in the field thanks to partnerships with industry leaders and outstanding references at some of the most renowned hospitals. Business is growing at a fast pace, requiring the company to seek high caliber executives to build its future.
The VP of Business Development will report directly to the CEO and be in charge of: seeking out and developing business opportunities complimentary to the company?s current business influencing the company?s and product line direction supporting the Sales team in promoting the company?s offering in large or complex sales
Responsibilities Include:Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company?s overall strategy, build business cases, work with legal counsel as required, lead negotiations and close; Network with industry leaders and opinion makers; build and share a vision on how the company can best take advantage of market trends and opportunities; work with product development to align future offering with opportunities; help the executive management team in strategic implementation;Support the sales team in complex sales, in particular in large US healthcare organizations; promote the company?s solutions and positioning; effectively explain and sell conceptually abstract technologies; develop high level marketing tools that present the company?s vision;Act as a company evangelist; attend and speak at conferences; contribute to company?s reputation; influence the market;
RequirementsExperience in Electronic Medical Records, Patient Monitoring Systems, or Hospital Information Systems10+ years of Sales/Business Development experience in HealthcareBiomedical device connectivity a plusTrack record of success in marketing/business development rolesComfortable in client facing and public speaking rolesAble to travel in the U.S. up to 50% of the timeNo relocation necessary as long as you live close to a major airport
