Job Requirements and Description

 

Baccalaureate Degree in science or engineering from an accredited university and at least two years of project management experience with Department of Defense contracts, preferably chemical defense programs, or MS degree in an associated technical discipline.  Must have experience in leading multidisciplinary teams of chemists, scientist, and/or engineers in the planning and execution of test programs.  Must have experience in marketing, identifying customer requirements, developing cost-effective solutions, leading proposal efforts, preparing cost estimates, planning, and executing multiple projects.  Must be experienced in the development and management of work breakdown structures and earned value management measurements.  Must have demonstrated ability in monitoring, reporting, and presenting overall project cost, schedule, and performance to the customer.  Must be proficient in using MS Project or similar project management software.  Must be competent in basic computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

 

Other Duties:

 

Develop schedules, individual work packages and work breakdown packages.  Coordinate and compile manpower, equipment and material costs.  Develop Earned Value Management System.  Coordinate and provide technical input to plans and reports and coordinate staffing of plans and reports.  Coordinate test schedules and requirements throughout test process from development of initial schedule through end of test and reporting.  Track daily, weekly, and monthly test output, finical information, and monitor data reduction, analysis, and reporting.  Write, compile and submit monthly testing progress reports. Coordinate work changes, changes in scope and technical approach, and coordinate changes with government.  Travel as required to support testing program.  Participation in the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program may be required.  Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
