Analytical Scientist

Adecco Scientific is currently seeking an Analytical Scientist for our client located in Irvine, CA. This is a temporary position to last approximately 3-5 months.

Responsibilities
? Perform HPLC testing of various formulations to assist in the optimization of the most stable formulation
? Perform HPLC analysis of stability samples
? Analyze expediently the HPLC results
? Summarize timely the data to facilitate a decision making about the formulation
? Validate the HPLC method for the final formulation
? Jointly responsible for maintaining the laboratory, supplies, and equipments
? Maintain laboratory records, data, and logbooks
? Maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Requirements:
? M.S. in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines with a minimum of three years experience in pharmaceutical development / or a BS degree with equivalent related years of experience
? Training in method development/validation is required
? Proficient in HPLC methodology (Waters system, Alliance 2695 with PDA)
? Proficient in HPLC method validation
? At least three years experience in pharmaceutical development
? Ability to work independently under a general supervision
? Experienced in calculating potency and impurities in the finished products
? Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills
? Understanding of a formulation development is a plus
? Working well in a matrix management
