Environmental Program Manager:

 

This position involved managing four Household Hazardous Waste Centers in the Anchorage area. As the Program Manager you will be responsible for performing tasks associated with the handling and disposal of hazardous wastes. You will insure that all waste is properly packaged, profiled and labeled prior to shipment. You will assist with compliance inspections, audits and all record keeping. In addition you will be responsible for all emergency response activities dealing with chemical spills and scheduling onsite personal.

 

A Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science or a related field and three to five years experience in disposing of hazardous waste is required. Excellent communications, strong computer skills and knowledge of federal, state and local regulations associated with the transportation of hazardous materials are a must.
