We are currently recruiting for an experienced Research Chemist to join our top notch Chemistry team.

 

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, a Research Chemist I assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the business, performs complex procedures, and develops methods, which result in total customer and supervisor satisfaction that meet or exceed project economic performance criteria.

 

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

 

?  Use experience and judgment to perform complex method development projects

?  Initiate new methods that will improve business

?  Perform complex analyses and procedures by HPLC, GC and/or GC/MS

?  Produce reliable results on time under GLP conditions, if necessary.

? Initiate appropriate communications with customers and respond to all customer  requests as directed by supervisor

?  Write reports, methods and protocols

?  Maintain instruments and equipment so that they are continuously in good  working order

?  Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment

?  Follow appropriate SOPs, SMs, and protocols

?  Travel as required

?  Work as a team with all staff to accomplish position and business objectives

?  Provide leadership training and supervision to the division staff including reviewing data

 

  The experience required is a MS with 6-8 years experience or BS with 8-10 years experience, Chemistry or Food Science related field, or a combination of education and experience indicating an ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.Knowledge of:  GLP standards; SOPs SMs and protocols

 

 Candidates must also have the ability to:  Develop methods, perform complex  analyses and procedures, write reports, approve methods and protocols, review data, design and evaluate the technical merits of current and new methods on the basis of quality and economic value, evaluate current methods to produce quality results, initiate new methods that will improve the business, maintain and improve profession competency, maintain a safe and orderly work environment, maintain laboratory records, write and review SOPs and SMs, operate personal computer and laboratory instruments and equipment. 

 



A California Driver?s License, may need to be provided along with proof of insurance and clear driving record.
