Full-time
BS or BA in natural resources, ecology, environmental planning, environmental management, or related field.

5 years experience preparing NEPA or CEQA documents.

The Oakland office of URS is seeking an experienced environmental scientist or environmental planner to assist in the preparation of NEPA documents. Responsibilities will include writing and managing Environmental Assessments and Categorical Exclusions, producing and delivering documents, status reporting, facilitating meetings with clients and regulatory agencies, scoping projects, tracking schedule and budget, and controlling quality of work. The selected candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and will have at least a general working knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the National Historic Preservation Act, the Endangered Species Act, and other laws/executive orders analyzed as part of the NEPA process. He/she will able to fit into a multi-disciplinary team environment, is detail- oriented, can be dedicated to supporting a demanding client, and is willing to travel.
