Sr. Scientist Laundry Care

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (DCI)

Position Summary:
The Product Development Sr. Scientist will provide technical leadership in developing new laundry care formulations.  They will consistently brings key tasks to completion by conducting well-designed experiments, interpreting results, and recommending next steps.  The individual is experienced performing all project assignments independently.  Identifies, recommends, and implements better approaches to getting work done.  Thoroughly understands product development and business processes, regulatory requirements, and test methods required to deliver a quality product. 


Responsibilities:


Works with minimal direction; independently designs and conducts experiments, sets priorities, and schedules activities.

Develops new tests designed to solve specific problems.  Interprets results and provides recommendations.  Makes independent decisions of limited scope.

Familiar with literature and patent searches

Is accountable for and defines scope for one or more projects of medium complexity.

Maintains excellent lab book documentation of results, conclusions and next steps.

Writes memos and technical reports; effectively presents experimental data and results; consults with external resources.


Requirements:


Bachelor?s Degree/Master Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry with 5 years experience.  PhD is preferred

Experience in laundry care product development, a plus

Strong communication skills, presentation skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to design experiments (DOE) to solve specific problems

Some experience with project management
