Activity Director

The Carlton Plaza of San Leandro has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Activity Director to join our team.  This person will have experience in developing and implementing comprehensive activities and events to motivate seniors while promoting social, physical, mental, creative and educational programs.  The Activity Director must be energetic, friendly, caring and able to work as part of a team.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, planning activity programs specific to the needs and abilities of our senior population, coordinating and scheduling of volunteers and entertainers, completion of resident assessments, monthly newsletter and calendar, supervision of activity staff, manage monthly activity budget, and ensure the flow of activities and transportation needs.

 

Requirements:Excellent Verbal and written communication skillsAbility to engage seniors and encourage participationComputer literacy required to perform daily payroll edits and to create flyers, announcements and newsletters.  Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointClass B California Driver?s License (may be obtained after employment), clean DMV record, and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen1 year of experience running group activities preferred
