Assistant Director of Communications - Pro Sports Organization

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

 

The Assistant Director assists in all aspects of publicity for the organization, but not limited to, the preparation of press releases and media guides, update of organization?s web site, research and update of records and general office duties. The Assistant Director supervises interns as assigned. Limited business travel is required.

 

Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Solid desktop publishing background required, including, but not limited to, Quark, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe PhotoShop. Experience with Apple computers is a must as well as above average computer skills to include Microsoft Office and a basic knowledge of HTML. A bachelor's degree in Journalism or a communications related field is required. Minimum of one year experience preferred.
