Assistant Manager Job Description

 

Primary Responsibility: To assist the Manager in the daily operations of Elephant Steps.  When Manager is not present, the Assistant Manager is in charge of the facility.  Directly reports to the Manager.

 

Other Responsibilities:

?  Assist in the hiring, supervision and evaluation of part-time employees.

?  Opening and closing the facility as scheduled or required.

?  Assist or lead in the training of staff in the various functions of Elephant Steps.

?  Assist the Manager in various reports.

?  Assist or lead in additional marketing opportunities.

?  Assist in the creation of new programs or events.

?  Assist or lead as necessary in daily procedures but not limited to the following:

- Signing up new memberships

- Answering telephones

- Working in the caf?

- Running programs or classes

- Leading birthday parties

?  Complete daily walk through and logs for opening and/or closing of facility.

?  Ability to use computers and Internet efficiently.

?  Other Duties as assigned or required by Manager.

 

Educational Requirement:

Bachelors Degree in Education, Physical Education or Recreation.  (Master?s Preferred)

 

Experience Preferred:

  Minimum 7 years- Working with children in an administrative role. 

  Minimum 5 years- Supervision of full-time and Part-time staff.

 

Certifications or licenses Required:

  First Aid and CPR- for infant and child

  Teaching certificate for preschool, preferred.

 

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 Based on experience
