WEB SITE DESINGER

We're excited to be recruiting for our client, an established web presence in the world of high school sports. Well-established already, they are about to do an expansion of their site, and are looking to add to their technology team.

We're looking for a web site designer to help with a major upgrade on the look and feel of the site. Details are below -- but we're also looking for someone who has a passion for high school sports, understanding how the games work, how statistics are kept, and what information fans want to have. You're also an independent worker, able to do your work without being micro-managed, and trusted to get things done. Must live in the Sacramento area, and have at least two years of experience doing this kind of thing.

Position Overview
Builds Web sites for the internet using scripting languages, graphics, and CSS

Essential Job Functions
? Programs in HTML, CSS, and Java creating comprehensive Web sites
? Codes the HTML behind the each page, integrating artwork, text, video, and animations within the HTML
? Builds tables, frames, and forms, and writes scripts within the browser
? Utilizes Web authoring tools to create Web pages
? Verifies content and formatting
? Gather feedback from design and technical staff on Web development needs
? Meets with client and technical staff of projects, new technologies, and project deadlines
? Works closely with artistic staff on implementing technical aspects of graphical concepts into Web site
? Remains up-to-date on browser and plug-in technology
? Manages special projects

Requirements
? Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
? 2 years+ experience with Java and JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML
? Familiarity with Microsoft Server environment
? Excellent written and verbal skills
? Work well within a team environment
? Work with minimal supervision
